Before beginning my career as a tattooist I was a yoga and meditation teacher for many years and taught retreats all over the world
I have always loved bringing like minded women together to restore our souls and free our creative spirits
This will be my third retreat at my home in Mid-Wales, and it is a very special gathering, opening up my house and my heart for a full weekend of immersing into the magic world of holistic handpoke
Perfect for anyone needing a peaceful reset away in stunning nature, a reminder of ancestral practices, a chance to reflect deeply on a soul level and awaken to a new chapter of life bursting with magic, creativity and possibility
We will walk daily in nature, share our voices in circle and - of course - fully celebrate and explore the ancient art of handpoke tattoo
What’s Included
• Small & intimate group of maximum 8 women
• 3 Nights accommodation from Friday to Monday morning - including all linens and towels (see accommodation options below)

• Daily sacred woodland ceremony circles including journaling, cacao, meditation and sharing circles
• Yin yoga on the Friday and Sunday evenings (outdoors on the decking or in the woodland, depending on the weather)

• Handpoke & Self Tattoo Workshop held by Suzie
• A small crystal infused tattoo made for you by Suzie, to be chosen from a pre-drawn flash sheet (if you don’t wish to be tattooed you can have a tarot reading instead)

As part of the retreat I will share with you the history, magic and art of handpoke tattoo
It is a fascinating journey and perfect for anyone who has ever been curious to know more about this ancient craft and potentially exploring it as a self-care practice
WE WILL DISCOVER:
• The history of handpoke
• My own personal journey with self-tattoo
• Creating symbolic & meaningful intentional tattoo designs
• Unlocking creative thinking
• How I create ceremony around tattoo using tarot, crystals and cacao
• The tools, technical guidance and hygiene awareness for creating a tiny tattoo for yourself if you wish
• I will give you a small basic tattoo kit to take home with you and talk you through the contents
• There will also be space for creating your own self tattoo if you wish, with my guidance
THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO PRESSURE OR EXPECTATION FOR YOU TO TATTOO YOURSELF & GUESTS TATTOOING EACH OTHER ON THE RETREAT IS STRICTLY NOT ALLOWED!
What this IS:
An inspiring exploration into what might be a brand new craft for you, discovered in circle with amazing women, with reverence and honouring of it’s origins and magic
What this is NOT:
A professional training for becoming a handpoke tattooist. I will not be providing any formal guidance or support for starting tattooing as a career

We have two 5 metre Bell Tents with two single beds each
You will be paired with another retreat guest which is an amazing way to connect with new friends, unless you request to be paired with someone you’re coming with
Room divider, single bed with mattress, pillow, duvet, towels, lamp and plug sockets for charging, electric heaters and hot water bottles will be provided depending on the weather!
Full use of two shower bathrooms in the house a few metres away
PLUS everything else included in the retreat yoga, food, workshop, your tattoo etc…

(£300 deposit paid now, £550 by 1st August 2025)
We have one slightly smaller 4 metre Bell Tent with two single beds
You can share with a friend, be paired with another guest, or email me for single occupancy option

We are based 15 minutes from Builth Wells in Powys, mid-Wales
You can not reach us by public transport, there are no large train stations nearby. Please do not attempt to get the train as there is a chance of you being stranded if you miss a connection and we wont be available to pick anyone up from a train station
The only reliable way to get to us is by car and I will share a map link with you prior to the retreat which will bring you to our door

I can make arrangements for a taxi from Hereford Station (1hr 15mins away) however the most recent cost for this was £140 each way. We won’t be able to provide lifts to or from the station because we will be busy with the retreat so I do not really recommend this option
I will try to help arrange lift shares between guests if possible.

If something unexpected arises up until 2 weeks before the retreat then I will do my absolute best to find someone else to fill your space. Only if someone takes your space will your deposit be refunded, minus a £50 fee. If I can not find anyone to fill your space, or you cancel within 2 weeks of the start date, then you will loose your whole payment.
If for some reason I have to cancel from my side then all deposits will be returned but I wont be able to compensate any other personal expenses

No, I will only be teaching yin which is a restorative form of yoga. Our other movement practice will be walking through the fields and hills

We have indoor spaces just in case it rains, but I do hope for sunshine so that we will be able to hold all of our yoga sessions and circles outside
