No previous tattooing experience is required, but I do feel that this course would be most beneficial for those with an existing creative connection, whether that be painting, drawing, crafting or cooking - if you have good dexterity with your hands, a love of being in focussed creative flow, and perhaps the beginning of a vision of what kind of tattoos you’d love to create - then the rest, I can teach you

An exploration of your unique artistic style through drawing, painting, or your chosen creative practice. Honing in on what you want to create, what you want to bring to life, and defining your creative signature—the essence that makes your work recognizably yours. This means practicing drawing skills, researching, and expanding your sources of inspiration to connect deeply with your creativity. I will also teach Procreate digital drawing skills, sharing the techniques I personally use.

CREATE | Fire 🜂 | Your Craft

Everything involved in the physical act of tattooing—from understanding the science of the skin to hygiene and safety, tools and techniques, needle sizes, ink and greywash, practicing on silicone and fruit, self-tattooing, tattooing others, placement, sizing, stenciling, aftercare, and touch-ups. Every detail that contributes to creating beautiful tattoos.

RELEASE | Air 🜁 | Your Sharing

Once you’ve mastered the skill of handpoke tattooing, you’ll learn how to share your work with the world. This includes marketing your art via Instagram, best practices for photographing tattoos, and creating engaging content. You’ll also receive guidance on setting up your booking system, managing client communications, and structuring your workflow. For those interested in opening their own studio, support will be provided to help you bring that vision to life.

My personal journey…

I started tattooing as a hobby almost 8 years ago now. At the time I was a full time yoga teacher living in London and I was very fortunate to have a large group of wonderful friends very willing to let me practice my handpoke skills on them!

I never for a moment imagined that it would grow into a soul-led career that enables me to support my family and live a life which is honestly a dream come true - but I couldn’t be more grateful that it has

During my yoga teaching years I learnt from over 550 hours of trainings and took part in multiple mentorships, as well as running multiple international retreats myself, so I have very real experience of what works best in learning experiences and how to craft group journeys which are nourishing for the body, mind and soul

This mentorship is a beautiful melting pot of all of this: my 8 years of tattoo experience, 11 years of running my own successful businesses, and many years of learning and deep soul work through yoga - condensed down into 6 months

✺ Answers to your questions ✺

No previous tattoo experience at all is needed for this course, although I do think it would be beneficial to have a current creative practice of some sort which involves using your hands as dexterity and and an some affinity with being in creative flow is essential
As the course is limited to just four students so that the teaching is of the best, most focussed quality I will select applicants who I think will benefit the most out of this course via application and a zoom call
We will begin practicing on silicone practice skins and even fruit. But I’ll be completely honest - I would never have learned to tattoo if I hadn’t practiced extensively on myself, and then on friends and family too. Of course I believe this needs to be done in the safest way possible, and not all of us know a vast number of people willing to be tattooed! But at some point in the course, yes you will need to tattoo yourself or someone willing who you know and trust.

Yes, this course is designed to be manageable alongside your current life with 2 intensive weekends, one workshop day and then the rest being completed in your own time at home. Practical practice is the most crucial element of learning a handmade craft, and for that you might need to be willing to sacrifice your evening time and weekends. Of course once you start falling in love with handpoke you’ll be happy to spend your evenings creating amazing pieces of art!
Assignments will be set fortnightly with follow up 1:1 tutorials, so you will have 2 weeks to complete each practice task. I can be flexible with our zoom tutorials to suit your schedule and I’ll be happy to accommodate evenings after work or after kids go to bed if needed
Hours wise I suggest at least 2 hours a week of personal practice time, but of course you can do much more than this if you want to get the most out of this journey
Yes, there is the option to spread the cost for a slightly elevated course fee.
Dates will be decided by what suits the group best once the course is full
• Over 60 hours of in-person and 1:1 zoom teaching time
• Physical workbook which will build as the course progresses
• A full kit of everything you need to begin making tattoos (except for basic cleaning products, which you will need to purchase yourself)
• 23 in-person weekends at my home in Wales including 2 nights (Friday and Saturday) accommodation and 2 lunches. Meals will be family style, at my home and all dietary requirements will be catered to.
• Online Level 2 IPC course & exam
• Access to Whatsapp group chat for any ad-hoc queries which arise along the journey
• Each person can receive a small tattoo from me, if they wish, which I will be co-created as part of the learning process
